Data Licences
Last updated: October 2026
This page explains the sources and reuse conditions of market data used by this site. The licences of source data are separate from the terms for using this site's forecasts.
Bundesnetzagentur | SMARD.de
Actual day-ahead prices for DE, AT, BE, CZ, DK1, DK2, FR, NL, NO2, PL and SE4 are sourced from SMARD.de, Bundesnetzagentur and are published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).
SMARD also supplies wind and solar generation, consumption, day-ahead consumption forecasts and installed wind capacity for Germany and Austria. German fundamentals cover the Germany/Luxembourg bidding zone; Austrian fundamentals cover Austria.
This site aggregates the source values into hourly prices and power values. Derived features and model forecasts are this site's calculations. The source does not endorse this site or its forecasts.
CC BY 4.0 permits sharing, adaptation and commercial reuse with appropriate attribution, a licence link and an indication of changes. Source data should be credited to Bundesnetzagentur | SMARD.de. The restrictions set by eupowerprices.com do not restrict the rights granted by that licence for SMARD data.
ENTSO-E and Original Market Data Providers
For areas whose day-ahead prices are not sourced from SMARD, this site displays prices sourced through the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform only for comparison with this site's forecasts, which are intended for non-commercial information and research purposes only. This site is not intended to redistribute those prices or provide an actual-price data service.
Actual prices are delivered to website charts through presentation endpoints solely to render those comparisons. Scraping, harvesting or bulk extraction of these prices through the website or its presentation endpoints is expressly prohibited under the Terms of Use. The forecast API and price export buttons provide forecast outputs, not actual-price series or actual-price downloads. Current-week averages may combine already-published prices with forecasts for the remaining hours.
ENTSO-E is the publication platform; rights in the underlying market data remain with the original data providers. Display on this website does not grant a licence to reuse those prices, or datasets derived from them, for commercial purposes.
ENTSO-E also supplies other generation, demand and capacity inputs, plus nuclear availability and transfer-capacity data. The primary data owners for these system inputs are transmission system operators (TSOs) and other reporting organisations, rather than the nominated electricity market operators (NEMOs) supplying auction prices.
Other Data Inputs
Weather and other inputs also come from providers including Open-Meteo, Fingrid, SYKE, NVE, SMHI and Nager.Holidays. The Methodology page describes their roles and links to the providers. Their data remains subject to each provider's applicable licence and terms.
This Site's Forecasts and Data Access
Forecasts are provided for personal use and non-commercial research only, under this site's forecast-use terms. A source-data licence does not grant permission to use this site's model forecasts commercially.
The forecast API and forecast CSV downloads only provide this site's forecasts. Website charts receive actual prices through presentation endpoints to render visualizations. These endpoints are not a bulk-download or market-data redistribution service. See the Terms of Use for access rules. Source data can be obtained directly from the original providers under their respective licences and terms.
